Are you a leader, an active participant, or a volunteer?
Misericordia University has a long tradition of generously rewarding students with strong academic records. There are, however, other qualities which students possess that we respect, other activities in which students involve themselves that we applaud, other behaviors which students demonstrate that we value.
These characteristics, talents, and traits will now be rewarded through the McAuley Awards.
The McAuley Award, named for Mother Catherine McAuley, the foundress of the Sisters of Mercy, will be awarded to deserving students who participate in a broad array of extracurricular activities, demonstrate leadership ability, and/or engage in volunteer activities. Students deemed extraordinary by virtue of their exceptional energy, drive, determination, or motivation may also be candidates for a McAuley Award. Essentially, any characteristic or past history which makes an applicant an especially desirable or unique candidate for admission to Misericordia University could be the basis upon which a McAuley Award Application is built. We invite anyone who has been active outside of the classroom to apply for this award.
