Document Delivery

Document Delivery Form

The Mary Kintz Bevevino Library offers a document delivery service to supply copies of articles from journals, magazines, or newspapers, and also book chapters to students who are considered distance learners. Misericordia students who are currently taking courses at a satellite location, taking courses on a compressed schedule, such as the Expressway program or Weekend College, or who are enrolled in the Adult Education program qualify for document delivery services. Students with special needs may also qualify for document delivery service. In addition, document delivery service is provided for Misericordia faculty.

Document delivery is available for articles and book chapters that are owned by the Mary Kintz Bevevino Library. The library will not provide document delivery service for resources that are available in library databases. Materials that are not owned by the library must be requested through interlibrary loan. Document delivery must comply with the library’s copyright guidelines.

Making Requests

All document delivery requests must be submitted electronically via the Document Delivery Form. All citation information must be complete. Requests with incomplete or incorrect citations will be returned to the patron. Requests are processed in the order in which they are received. Library staff will process a maximum of five requests per person per day. Due to copyright restrictions, we will not process more than five articles per serial title or one chapter from a book. While the library staff will process materials in a timely fashion, some requests may take 3-5 days for you to receive.

Delivery

All articles will be sent to your Misericordia email address. If there are extenuating circumstances that prohibit email transmission, i.e. large image files, text with special symbols or foreign language, etc., the library staff will copy the article or book chapter and mail or fax the item to you. Faculty may request that articles be delivered to their department or office.

The library reserves the right to limit document delivery service due to copyright restrictions or abuse of services.
